Emily and Jeremy are a couple of those clients that have become friends to Mason and I (Mason was their DJ and they actually found him before me). Throughout their whole wedding planning process with us, they were so gracious and so inviting. Their wedding did not feel like work to us - it felt like a fun party with friends. Jeremy even invited me to stay longer and I wish I could have!

The bride and groom had yet to see each other and they decided to pray not only with each other but also with their parents flanking them on the sides, holding their hands. It was a beautiful expression of the love and support that their parents have given them so far and will continue to give them throughout their married life. Their ceremony took place in Amarillo's First Presbyterian Church - one of the most beautiful places to get married. The couple had their first look in the green courtyard and then said "I do" in the elegant sanctuary. Afterward they took off in a classic car and made their way to the Amarillo Country Club where they danced and had so much fun until their sparkler send off.

Jeremy is a firefighter in Canyon, Texas so it was only natural that we take photos of the pair in his fire station. After the station, we went out to their property south of Canyon where they own several acres and took pictures as the sun set in the Texas sky. We brought out their sweet horses just as the sun was meeting the horizon.

After several outings together, a friend asks them if they are dating and they realized that yes, they were. Eventually they fall in love and go on a trip to Europe where Tristan proposes to Leah in Rome on the Tiber River (I mean, WOW!).

Their engagement session in Palo Duro Canyon turned out to have less than ideal weather conditions (sudden wind and rain!) but Maddison and Dan kept great attitudes and just had fun together. Those are the best kind of couples that I get to work with - the kind that go with the flow and live in the moment despite the turbulence around them. I loved getting to know them and I can't wait for their fall wedding.
