Emily + Jeremy | Wedding at Panhandle Charm in Amarillo, Texas

Emily and Jeremy are a couple of those clients that have become friends to Mason and I (Mason was their wedding DJ and they actually found him before me). Throughout their whole wedding planning process with us, they were so gracious and so inviting. Their wedding did not feel like work to us - it felt like a fun party with friends. Jeremy even invited me to stay longer and I wish I could have!

Madison + Nic | Spring Wedding at Country Home Weddings

I think one of the sweetest things about Madison and Nic's wedding was being able to capture not only their relationship but also their love for their family and friends. So many of their loved ones came out to celebrate wedding day and it's not surprising to see how cherished they are by many people. It was a beautiful day in so many ways.

Audrey + Josh | Palo Duro Canyon Engagement Session

Audrey and Josh are some of those fun, easy going clients that make my job so easy and enjoyable. They claimed that they were "super awkward" at taking pictures but I don't believe it. Once we warmed up a bit, they were so natural and even when we had awkward moments, they just turned them into fun, laughter-filled photos. During their session we also had the amazing experience of coming up on a pair of aoudad sheep hanging out on some cliffs (photo below). I constantly see deer in Palo Duro Canyon but I have never been so close to one of these sheep and I had a little bit of an excited freak out moment. Thanks for bearing with me, Audrey and Josh, and for creating some fun memories with me!

The Wyckoff's | Family photos at home and at Palo Duro Canyon

It was a struggle for this family session to actually happen. We had to reschedule TWICE for bad weather! But the evening we ended up with could not have been more perfect - there's nothing quite like a glorious spring day in our little corner of the world. We began the Wyckoff's family photos in their picturesque front yard on a brick street in Canyon. They've put a lot of love into their home and I was so happy to create some memories for them at this happy time in their lives.

Kayce | Ethereal Palo Duro Canyon Bridal Session

I get pretty attached to my clients and Kayce is no exception. Since she lives in Fort Worth, the first time I met her in person was during her bridal session in Palo Duro Canyon - where her wedding also was. I instantly liked her. And her wedding last weekend ended up being one of my all time favorites for many reasons but mostly because the people there were awesome. Not only were Kayce and her now husband Conner so amazing, nice, and relaxed but their wedding party was perfect as well!

Hayley + Matt | Palo Duro Canyon Maternity Photo Session

I first met these two a couple of years ago when Matt proposed to Hayley right there in Palo Duro Canyon. It was the perfect place to return to for their maternity photos. I love being able to meet couples, see them get married, and then watch them turn into families. It reminds me how fast time moves and how important it is to remember those sweet, small moments.

Channing + Josiah | Palo Duro Canyon Engagement Session

I knew I liked Channing and Josiah when Channing first emailed me saying that my wedding photography promo video made her cry. I thought to myself, "She gets it. She understands the value of having amazing wedding photos." How could I not want to work with someone like that? Then, during our initial meeting they were still undecided on the package they would choose and they told me they would pray about it. I love that Josiah and Channing have a spirit-led life. Talk about my ideal clients.

Sherstin + Andrew | Proposal Shoot in Palo Duro Canyon

This was a proposal that I didn't even see coming. Usually, a guy will contact me and book a "couple's session" for him and his girlfriend. Then, at some point during the session he will surprise her by proposing. Andrew, however, wanted to make sure his proposal to Sherstin was a complete surprise. She actually first contacted me and booked the session. They have dated for five years and she just wanted some sweet pictures with her and her boyfriend. Little did she know, Andrew would quickly mention to me at the very beginning of the session that he brought an engagement ring! I told him I would give him a sign when it was a good time to propose.  He hijacked the photo shoot in the best possible way.

Samantha + Shane | Autumn Anniversary Photo Session

This fall anniversary session makes me want to cuddle up with a good book and some hot tea. But seriously. Aren't these two the cutest? Samantha and Shane recently moved to Amarillo from New Hampshire, where Samantha is from and where they got married last fall. Before they moved here, she had a plan to take one photo from each season of the first year of their marriage. She found me through one of my past clients and I am so glad she chose me to take their fall photo because meeting them and taking their anniversary photos has turned out to be one of my favorite shoots of the year.

The Coe's | Sunrise Family Session in Palo Duro Canyon

The Coe family woke up early on a Saturday morning and headed out to Palo Duro Canyon with me for a sunrise family session. I don't do a lot of sunrise shoots but now I'm officially in love with the soft morning light. The family's youngest member (except for the new baby on the way!) stole the show. Lily had the sweetest smile and the biggest doe eyes. When her mom told her to "do her pose", Lily would stand sassily with one hand on her hip and flash her nose-crinkling, heart-melting smile.

Chau Mai | Palo Duro Canyon Family Photos

This family session in Palo Duro Canyon was basically one big giggle fest. Isabel is turning one soon and her parents wanted to document the momentous occasion with some family photos. They moved here from Vietnam a few years ago so I'm sure their relatives back home will appreciate seeing how happy and smiley Isabel is. I really loved meeting this young family. Also, editing their session made my heart happy because it was smile after smile from one the cutest babies I've ever seen. If this doesn't give you baby fever then I don't know what will.
