Shaylee | Amarillo High Senior Photos

Shaylee's senior photo session was a wonderful one to end my season before starting maternity leave. She's a total sweetheart and once she warmed up to the camera (and to my silliness) we had a lot of fun together. You can't tell by these photos but we were plagued by 30 mph winds during her photo session and she totally made it work with her positive attitude. Her awesome mom Staci was there to fix hair in between shots. Near the end of the session, we decided to embrace the wind and the beautiful Amarillo sunset.

Micah | Downtown Amarillo Texas Senior Photos

When your senior clients are 50 times cooler than you could ever hope to be.

Micah is clearly that cool and equally as sweet. And I am in love with her style. We carefully planned out where we would go in downtown Amarillo based on her outfits and I was so happy when, on a whim, we stopped by one of my favorite spots that I never get to use. The gold, retro architecture seemed just her style and her eyes lit up when I told her about it (pictures below).

Jessica | Dalhart High School Senior Photos

It's senior photo season and I've had so much fun with my seniors this year! Jessica drove all the way from Dalhart, Texas on the prettiest of spring days to hang out with me for a couple of hours. We walked around downtown Amarillo while she wore her cap and grown and then we sped to Palo Duro Canyon to catch the sunset. This girl has style and a beautiful smile (the proof is in the pictures) but she also rocks those fierce expressions. I loved hanging out with her <3

Maecee | Palo Duro Canyon Senior Photos

Can we all just stop and admire this girl's eyes for a second? Gorgeous! She's a senior from Borger with a heart of gold. I always think I get to take photos of the best people and Maecee is one of those <3 Her whole family tagged along for the experience and I can tell that they are excited for her to graduate from high school and go on to do exciting things. I'm also so glad this session finally happened. Poor Maecee had to get rescheduled twice due to our crazy Amarillo, Texas winds but she ended up with the most gorgeous day.

Keegan | Palo Duro Canyon Senior Session

I'm always impressed by the teenagers that I come across in this town. Despite the constant negativity about young people, I have yet to photograph one who is nothing short of courteous and respectful. Keegan is definitely that type of senior. Even when I made him feel a little silly, he happily went along with everything. His friend, who came along for the shoot, asked me about my pregnancy and how it was going. At the end of the session, both boys shook my hand. It makes me sound old but I can see that their parents raised them right and it gives me a lot of hope.

Destiny | Tascosa High School Senior Session

Destiny can rock those fierce expressions, am I right? Sometimes I wonder if some of my seniors are secretly professional models. Destiny was one of those girls and she made my job super easy and fun. Not only is she gorgeous, but she's also sweet as can be!Destiny's mom tagged along for the session and I have to say, she was the most helpful spectator I have ever had for a shoot. She helped me give Destiny direction and her ideas for poses and expressions were spot on. So honestly I need to give her credit making Destiny look so good!

Elise | Downtown Amarillo Senior Photo Session

Elise's senior photo session in downtown Amarillo has officially convinced me that winter is just as beautiful as all of the other seasons. I love the crisp cleanness of wintertime, the muted colors, and the softness. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Elise is a beautiful girl with the brightest blue eyes. She's a senior at Claude High School and she clearly has a heart of gold. She's headed to Midwestern State University after she graduates and though she doesn't know what she will study yet, I'm sure she'll be very successful.

Nia | Downtown Amarillo Senior Photo Session

Nia was immediately outgoing when we started her senior photo session. It always makes my job a lot easier when my clients are open to interacting with me, when they ask me questions, and when they respond to my questions. It makes the whole portrait session a lot more fun for both of us. Nia was just like that and I loved getting to know her. She's a senior at Caprock High School who plans to attend Texas Tech so she can become a nurse.

Aiden | Senior Photos in his Unique Amarillo Home

Aiden's senior photos are sure to be some of the most unique that I've done so far. He and family have spent the past two years remodeling their 108 year old home in Amarillo. This house is a gem that they have clearly put a lot of care and love into over the past couple of years. He and his mom Stacey invited me into their foyer and I was astounded. It was like stepping into the past and it was amazing to witness.

Brittany | Downtown Amarillo Senior Photo Shoot

Brittany has such a cool-ness about her. Once I saw her, I knew I wanted to take her to some new and unique spots that I had found in downtown Amarillo and I'm so happy she was up for it! We stomped all over downtown and while we weren't taking pictures, we talked a lot! She's sweet and quiet but I was able to get her to open up about her passion: music. She plans on attending college in San Antonio where she is going to major in Music and become an elementary school music teacher.

Evelyn | Downtown Amarillo Senior Photo Shoot

Evelyn was "lucky" enough to get two senior photo sessions in one. During her first senior shoot in Downtown Amarillo, we were about halfway through shooting and all of a sudden: RAIN. Lots of it. Thanks, Amarillo, for the lack of warning. So we rescheduled the remainder of her session for the next week so we had time to go out to a field and so Evelyn could wear her cowgirl boots ;) Of course, it ended up being the windiest day imaginable. Haha. I told her she got the best weather that Texas had to offer.
