I am so excited and proud to have my photos of Cassidyy and Daniel's Amarillo wedding featured in the Real Weddings section of The Knot Texas's Fall/Winter 2018 issue! Last November, the magazine contacted me to tell me they would like to feature the wedding and naturally, I was ecstatic. I kept it a secret since then (that was hard!) but now that the issue has been published, I am shouting it from the rooftops. It's such an honor to be published in one of the most popular wedding magazines in the country.Read More
The Mauldin's family photo session in Palo Duro Canyon was one of those sessions that I got too distracted talking to the family and getting to know them when I should have been taking their pictures! I'm sort of kidding but I really did love getting to know this wonderful couple and their energetic, spirited kids. I can tell that they have a ton of love for each other. When a little girl tells her mom several times in an hour in the most sincere voice, "I love you, Mom," you know they've got something special.Read More
I love seeing past clients over and over again and watching their families grow! The first time I took Fern and Jason's pictures was about a year and a half ago. Her family had flown in from Thailand and they wanted to commemorate the occasion. The second time I took their photos they were announcing their pregnancy. This time around, little Emma is here and it was the perfect time to celebrate their first Christmas as a family of three. I don't think it gets much cuter than Emma with her giggly smiles for mom and dad.Read More
Amy and Trevor's engagement session was full of nonstop laughter, especially during the beginning when they were first getting their nerves out. I loved it. They are the kind of clients that I love being around, taking pictures of, and serving. There were times when we should have been taking pictures but we were talking too much!Read More
This is my fourth time taking pictures of this sweet family! The first time was two years ago when the littlest one wasn't even born yet! I've so enjoyed getting to know them over the past couple of years and documenting the girls growing up. They keep getting prettier and prettier and I hope I get to take their pictures for years to come.Read More
I first met Rachel a few months ago when she booked me for her upcoming wedding and the first time I met Matt was during their engagement session. When I saw them together I instantly knew that they fit perfectly together. I mean, just look at them! Matt is from all over the United States but he moved to Lubbock to accept a job at Texas Tech's library. He then met Rachel at church and they fell in love.Read More
I liked Taryn and Joey the instant I met them. They're one of those couples that make me sad that I only get to see them for their engagement photos and their wedding - which isn't until next June! Too long! (I mean seriously, can we hang out?)Read More
This fall anniversary session makes me want to cuddle up with a good book and some hot tea. But seriously. Aren't these two the cutest? Samantha and Shane recently moved to Amarillo from New Hampshire, where Samantha is from and where they got married last fall. Before they moved here, she had a plan to take one photo from each season of the first year of their marriage. She found me through one of my past clients and I am so glad she chose me to take their fall photo because meeting them and taking their anniversary photos has turned out to be one of my favorite shoots of the year.Read More
Laura and James were finally able to book a session with me (our schedules were not lining up!) and they lucked out because they got the most perfect light for their session. Palo Duro Canyon's sunset that night did not disappoint.Read More
Ahhhhhhh! Can you tell I'm excited???
Because IT'S FALL Y'ALL!
Ok, I need to chill out. But seriously. I got to spend my first really fall-ish session with the amazingly good looking, well-dressed Velasquez family. If you are getting family pictures done soon, take note. These guys did it right.Read More
When your client comes all of the way to Amarillo from Las Vegas, NV for their engagement photo session and the sky decides to pour down some rain on you, you have to roll with it. So that's what we did. And Kourtney + Grant were some serious troopers. They endured a last second location switch and frequent downpours, but all the while, they stayed amazingly cool and calm. Nothing phased them because they just wanted to be together. Their session turned out nothing like any of us thought it would. Instead of a grassy, West Texas field we got lush and green - which is unusual for our little corner of the world. They got something truly unique. Enjoy.Read More
