Audrey + Josh | Palo Duro Canyon Engagement Session

Audrey and Josh are some of those fun, easy going clients that make my job so easy and enjoyable. They claimed that they were "super awkward" at taking pictures but I don't believe it. Once we warmed up a bit, they were so natural and even when we had awkward moments, they just turned them into fun, laughter-filled photos. During their session we also had the amazing experience of coming up on a pair of aoudad sheep hanging out on some cliffs (photo below). I constantly see deer in Palo Duro Canyon but I have never been so close to one of these sheep and I had a little bit of an excited freak out moment. Thanks for bearing with me, Audrey and Josh, and for creating some fun memories with me!

Kailey + Michael | Engagement Photos in Palo Duro Canyon

I love this couple! It was yet another one of those sessions where I got too busy talking and getting to know them and started slacking on my actual job ;) We even talked for 15 minutes after the session was over. Kailey and Michael met at Nick's Fight Club, the gym where Michael works. The first day she was there he walked right up and talked to her. After several more times seeing each other at the gym, Michael eventually learned that Kailey LOVES Disney and he started quoting some of his favorite Disney lines to her. He even used a line from Mulan to ask her out for their first date.

Amy + Trevor | Colorful and Bright Fall Engagement Session

Amy and Trevor's engagement session was full of nonstop laughter, especially during the beginning when they were first getting their nerves out. I loved it. They are the kind of clients that I love being around, taking pictures of, and serving. There were times when we should have been taking pictures but we were talking too much!

Rachel + Matt | Engagement Session at Texas Tech University

I first met Rachel a few months ago when she booked me for her upcoming wedding and the first time I met Matt was during their engagement session. When I saw them together I instantly knew that they fit perfectly together. I mean, just look at them! Matt is from all over the United States but he moved to Lubbock to accept a job at Texas Tech's library. He then met Rachel at church and they fell in love.

Sheridan + Jerry | Springtime Lubbock, Texas Engagement Photos

I knew I liked Sheridan and Jerry from day one. We met back in the fall when they booked me for their July 2017 wedding. The moment that Sheridan pulled out her wedding planning notebook was the moment that I knew I had found an ideal client and kindred spirit. She was so organized and on the ball! Being super Type A myself, it's fun to work with people that think like I do.

Sherstin + Andrew | Proposal Shoot in Palo Duro Canyon

This was a proposal that I didn't even see coming. Usually, a guy will contact me and book a "couple's session" for him and his girlfriend. Then, at some point during the session he will surprise her by proposing. Andrew, however, wanted to make sure his proposal to Sherstin was a complete surprise. She actually first contacted me and booked the session. They have dated for five years and she just wanted some sweet pictures with her and her boyfriend. Little did she know, Andrew would quickly mention to me at the very beginning of the session that he brought an engagement ring! I told him I would give him a sign when it was a good time to propose.  He hijacked the photo shoot in the best possible way.

Alyssa + Patrick | Palo Duro Canyon Engagement Photos

These two adorable people have spent six years together (four of which were long distance) and they are now getting married later this year.  They are so amazing together and they are as sweet as they look. Their engagement session in Palo Duro Canyon was full of real laughter (my favorite!) and lots of cuddling for warmth. Though it was a breezy, crisp January day, their smiles are what make the pictures look warm.

Callie + Kyle | Palo Duro Canyon Engagement Photo Session

These two are a couple of my favorites. A lot of people ask me if I know my clients before they hire me and the answer is no 98% of the time. However, sometimes clients come along that I feel like I have known for a long time. Callie and Kyle are a couple of clients like that. Their engagement session went so smoothly and comfortably and I could have photographed them for a couple more hours easily - except without the mosquitos that literally ate me alive ;)

Taylor + Taylor | Palo Duro Canyon Engagement Session

Taylor and Taylor spent two years working together at a pizza restaurant in Lubbock before they started dating. They built a foundation of friendship and finally started their relationship after quitting to pursue their educations further. Though their love story seems ordinary, it's not...because no love story is.

Stacy + Zach | Downtown Amarillo and Palo Duro Canyon Engagement Photos

When I say I can't wait for this wedding, I mean it. Stacy and Zach are a couple of those dream clients that make everything effortless.

These two met in Dallas (where they live) at the most interesting of places: a rap show. Strangely, each of them attended the show at the last minute, having no idea what was in store for them once they got there. After dating for several years, Zach got down on one knee and proposed to Stacy at the base of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in New York City, surrounded by teaming crowds of people.  Who could say no to that?
