Featured | The Knot Texas Fall/Winter 2018 Real Weddings

I am so excited and proud to have my photos of Cassidyy and Daniel's Amarillo wedding featured in the Real Weddings section of The Knot Texas's Fall/Winter 2018 issue! Last November, the magazine contacted me to tell me they would like to feature the wedding and naturally, I was ecstatic. I kept it a secret since then (that was hard!) but now that the issue has been published, I am shouting it from the rooftops. It's such an honor to be published in one of the most popular wedding magazines in the country.

Sawyer + Emily | Palo Duro Canyon Engagement Session

The way Sawyer proposed to Emily was pretty sweet. They knew they were going to get married at some point so they were already touring wedding venues. Their hearts were set on the Fulford Barn outside of Brownfield, Texas. They walked around the property and eventually made it to the lawn where much to Emily's surprise, Sawyer had set up a table with pictures of the two of them, beautiful flowers, and other sweet memorabilia. He then got down on one knee and asked her to become his wife.

The Crookston's | Palo Duro Canyon Family Photos

What a sweet, young family to spend an evening with! Despite the wind and the cold that February brought us, we made the most of our time and they kept each other warm. And when the little ones were done taking pictures, I spent some extra time with mom and dad because they haven't had pictures with just the two of them in quite some time :)

Allison + Eric | January Wedding at Autumn Oaks Event Center in Lubbock

You can tell a lot about a couple by the time the wedding toasts occur. And for Allison and Eric, it’s easy to see they are two amazing people who became one even more amazing married couple. Their family and friends were brimming with happy tears as they talked about each individual and how excited they were to see the two become husband and wife. It’s one of my favorite parts of a wedding day and their toasts are some that I won’t soon forget. It fills me with joy to know that I’m serving such great people.

Rachel + Matt | Late December Wedding in Palo Duro Canyon

Literary quotes decorated Rachel and Matt's wedding - making their day a true reflection of their personalities. Even before Matt came along, Rachel always wanted a winter wedding and I hope the late December day in Palo Duro Canyon was everything she imagined it would be. Despite the 20 degree weather- and from a photographer’s perspective - I’m so glad they still decided to get married outside. In the frigid temperatures they said their vows as Rachel’s dad officiated and they planted a new pine tree together. It was a representation of their young marriage and the years of cultivation and care ahead of them.

The Mauldin's | Palo Duro Canyon Family Photos

The Mauldin's family photo session in Palo Duro Canyon was one of those sessions that I got too distracted talking to the family and getting to know them when I should have been taking their pictures! I'm sort of kidding but I really did love getting to know this wonderful couple and their energetic, spirited kids. I can tell that they have a ton of love for each other. When a little girl tells her mom several times in an hour in the most sincere voice, "I love you, Mom," you know they've got something special.

Cassie + Calum | Palo Duro Canyon Engagement Session

Cassie and Calum are high school sweethearts from the same small town who have been together about 5 years. They met after their junior year of high school and have been together through years of college. Next summer, they'll be getting married in their home church among their family and friends.

Laura + Carlos | Engagement Session in Washington, D.C.'s Georgetown Neighborhood and Rock Creek Park

I got to spend much more time than usual with Laura and Carlos for their engagement session and it was absolutely amazing. I loved seeing the way these two interact with each other and it actually taught me a valuable lesson: Be as kind to your significant other as you would be to anyone else. They treat each other with such respect and kindness with every interaction.

Belle | Palo Duro Canyon Head shots

Gosh, this girl is so pretty! She is graduating from West Texas A&M University this December so she did a graduation/head shot session with me. She needed some fresh head shots because she is leaving for Los Angeles after graduation where she is moving to go to film school and pursue a career in acting. She told me she wants to start out in commercials. I hope these pictures will help get her where she wants to go!

Rachel + Matt | Engagement Session at Texas Tech University

I first met Rachel a few months ago when she booked me for her upcoming wedding and the first time I met Matt was during their engagement session. When I saw them together I instantly knew that they fit perfectly together. I mean, just look at them! Matt is from all over the United States but he moved to Lubbock to accept a job at Texas Tech's library. He then met Rachel at church and they fell in love.

Madeline + Nick | Trinity River Audubon Center Wedding in Dallas

Madeline and Nick began their relationship seven years ago. After those seven long years filled with long distances, college, new careers, and tons of joy, they became husband and wife. Their wedding day at Trinity River Audubon Center in Dallas, Texas was one big celebration of an amazing, sweet couple. These two are loved by a lot of people.
