Sunrise Photos at Mahan Ranch for Crowd Cow

This was my second shoot that I have done for Crowd Cow, a craft meat company based out of Seattle. Their business is based on connecting their customers with the farm where the meat came from. They like to tell the stories of their producers. And that’s something I can get behind.

I got up at 5 am to drive to Silverton, Texas for this shoot and it was so worth it. I don’t often shoot at sunrise but it was the only time that Keith, the farm manager was available so we went with it. We got so lucky with the AMAZING Texas sunrise that morning. I hopped in the truck with Keith while his cow dog rode on the back and we simply went around feeding his herd of Wagyu cattle.

Feeding cattle at sunrise is not usually a part of my workflow but I enjoyed every bit of it.
